We need 6 chaperons for Zoo fieldtrip. Kids will have their first snack in school before they leave, and second after we are back from the fieldtrip. Please pack their lunch separately in a sack and write their name on it since we are going to have lunch at the zoo.
I would like to extend invitation to all pre-k1 parents to my place for the next fieldtrip scheduled for April 25th, weather permitting Insha-Allah. My husband (Arif Rajiwate) is taking time-off from work to help out with the fieldtrip so brothers are welcome as well. Lunch (Pizza) will be provided for the kids. We are requesting parents to bring a dish to share. We are not renting school bus for this fieldtrip. Parents will be driving kids. We are asking all parents who are not going to drive to drop their kids car seat (with their kid’s name on it) on that day.
We are teaching kids how to hold the crayon correctly since the beginning of the school year; most of the kids know how to hold the crayon correctly, and color within the line. Please practice with your kids at home if you notice your kid is not doing that.
LINE OF COMMUNICATION
Proper communication is important to maintain a successful parents, teachers, and school relationship. At Daarul Uloom, we have established a proper line of communication to address any concerns a parent has. As mentioned in the handbook, parents are encouraged to discuss any concern about their child with their child’s teacher first. If the issue is not resolved with the teacher, parents should then bring their concern to the attention of the Dean of Students. If parents are not satisfied with the results of their discussion with the teacher and dean, they are encouraged to take their concerns to the school principal, and then followed by the Board.
Note: The Board members and the Principal will redirect anyone who does not follow the before mentioned sequence.

Our Goal is to encourage our children and parents to enjoy learning and memorizing Quran.
We encourage ALL children, youth and adults to participate even if they do not master memorizing the assigned Surah.
Please visit our website for more information alraziacademy.org.
We will serve Hot Lunch on every Wednesday. Students who signed up for hot lunch, they only need to pack snacks on that day. Those who did not, please pack their lunch and snacks as usual.
Parent Assistance Program is implemented as a means of obtaining parental support of all the activities necessary to enrich the school experience for its students and also to promote a strong ethic of volunteerism since actions are linked to good deeds. Additionally, we would like parents to be actively involved in the school as effective partners in our development and success. Each DU family must complete a total of 20 hours. The first 10 hours need to be completed before the start of Winter Break (by December 21). The next 10 hours need to be completed before the end of the school year (by May 24). If, however you are unable to fulfill any hours due to your busy schedule, you may opt out from this program by paying the $200 fee by August 31. Please also know that parents will be charged $15 per hour for every hour that is not completed by the end of school year.
Please send a healthy/low sugar snack along with an easy/ready to eat lunch, utensils and napkins in a labeled lunch bag. Fruits are recommended but they should be washed and cut at home. Absolutely no candy or soda should be sent to school.
Change of Cloths
Please provide an extra change of clothing for your child (top and bottom- weather appropriate, socks, underwear). sometimes they may have accidents with a spill or other things... this also eliminates us calling you during the day to bring clothing items...
Mondays and Wednesdays. Please wear pair of gym shoes to participate in PE comfortably.
